Birth Order Was An Early Predictor Of Outcome Of Presidential Race
Kerry's Birth Order Was An Early Predictor Of Outcome Of Presidential Race for this Psychologist PR9.NET November 22, 2004 - Tucson, Arizona – In a press release dated February 13 of this year, Dr. Kevin Leman predicted that all else being equal, Senator John Kerry may not have what it takes to win the presidency, for no other reason that that Kerry is a second-born "middle" child. Leman suggested that critical issues may pop up in Kerry's campaign should he maintain too much control of it. Recent reports by embedded reporters in the Kerry campaign suggest his prediction to be true--that indecision and disorganization in the campaign could have cost Kerry his bid for the presidency. After all, according to Leman, as a middle-born Kerry would tend to be sociable, friendly, and outgoing, but also want to please everyone with every decision, thereby leading to indecision and "flip-flopping" (a term used by the Bush campaign to describe Kerry). "After three decades of psychological study," says Leman, "I am sure of only a few things, first of which is that for a young child growing up, there is no greater influence than his or her family. During those early years, parents and siblings make an indelible psychological imprint, which greatly affects that development of one's basic personality, and later in life, family influence persists even across the miles when children grow up and move away." Leman recently began to put these findings to work helping single men and women find the right spouse based on their birth orders. For instance, a first born will match well with a last born, but two first borns matched together would just be asking for trouble. The problem," states Leman, "is that any of us can get along handsomely with a person of the same birth order as a friend, but when the same birth orders join in marriage there is competition, which is a destroyer of marriage." Leman is quick to point out that those who are currently married to someone of the same birth order shouldn't abandon that marital relationship. "Couples dedicated to each other can work through such issues, though it may be a lifelong task. It keeps marriage counselors like me very busy," says Leman. To help singles find the right mate, Kevin Leman founded the Christian online dating service http://www.matchwise.com. The site offers a patented process of first determining and then displaying one's true birth order. Each week Dr. Leman picks several great matches for each MatchWise member from among its large database of registered users. Leman considers dozens of compatibility issues in his picks, but unlike the other popular psychologist-created website, he also allows members the freedom to search through the entire membership to find their own matches. Of all the online dating sites, only MatchWise offers Dr. Leman's insights and birth order matching for Christian singles. The Birth Order Compatibility Profile and registration for singles on MatchWise.com are both free. # # #
