Flowers for Education. and the Florida Direct Marketing Association Team Up to 'Grow' the "Blooming Marketer Education/Scholarship Fund."

PR9.NET January 31, 2006 - Fort Lauderdale, FL The Florida Direct Marketing Association (FDMA) teams up with top notch florist, to grow the "Blooming Marketer Education/Scholarship Fund." The partnership is set-up to raise monies for small scholarship assistance and provide educational stipends to local tri-county (Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade, FL) area students and faculty. Oftentimes, college students and faculty would like to expand their learning by attending outside educational seminars, but lack the additional funding to attend such events. This is how the genesis of this unique partnership with evolved.

Keith Fletcher, President of the FDMA, states "This is a great opportunity for everyone to do two positive things at once. People are buying flowers for that special person in their lives for Valentine's Day or other occasions, so they might as well buy them where the purchase benefits the education of students via a scholarship. Even if you are in Alaska or Hawaii and buying flowers, you can help make a difference."

Heidi Richards, owner, of and international speaker is a marketing aficionado teaching tips and techniques to everyone she meets. Her avid devotion to nourishing the minds of others and her community involvement is one of her best qualities and a reason why her floral shop was voted among the best in the area. She gives back with the beauty in floral expressions, and with her continuous community involvement in numerous associations including the FDMA. Heidi says, "The Scholarship Fund was named 'Blooming' because education is like a flower constantly blooming, and as more and more education is obtained by one, they flourish. Eden Florist is very proud and honored to give back to the community with this education fund."

The "Blooming Marketer Education/Scholarship Fund" will also seek to provide small scholarship assistance to students to further their marketing education degrees. The amount of funding will depend on the total sales from flowers, balloons, or fruit/gift baskets sold. Ten percent of all sales revenue that comes into via phone, Internet, or in person, with the promotion or source code of "FDMA" will go toward 'growing' the "Blooming Marketer Education/Scholarship Fund." When ordering online, you must mention "FDMA" on the order form where it asks you "How did you hear about us."

To assist in helping the Fund grow and to get involved, one can go online and purchase items from, or call 954-981-5519 (Out of state: 800-966-3336). If in the area visit the Eden Florist Floral Shop Headquarters at 7100 Pembroke Road, Miramar, FL. No matter what the distance or the occasion, you can help educate a college student. To make a direct contribution to the Fund, contact Keith Fletcher at 954.547.1965.
