Pat Tiller Volunteers to Assist Katrina Victims

PR9.NET September 08, 2005 - Portland, OR: Hollander Consultants' Treasury Manager, Pat Tiller flew to Louisiana today to help with Hurricane Katrina disaster relief. He will be in Louisiana for a minimum of two weeks.

A resident of Sandy, Oregon, Tiller has been a member of the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol for the past 27 years and is certified in Mass Casualty Incident training. As a certified Emergency Response Coordinator, Tiller is experienced in setting up shelters and medical areas for use in emergencies such as the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

"I'm going to Louisiana because my help and my expertise are needed. I want to make sure people are safe and I will be training people on-site to provide the best possible care for the evacuees and other victims of the hurricane. It would be a crime if I didn't help in some way," said Tiller.

Fred King, CEO for Hollander Consultants, said, "Many of our clients were in the path of the hurricane and have had their lives irrevocably altered. We wholeheartedly support Pat Tiller's trip to help people affected by the hurricane. He will be in regular contact with us so we can have an ongoing update as to the situation and what help is needed."

In Tiller's capacity with the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol, he has apprenticed over 200 people in how to help others in emergency and life-threatening situations. He is a first aid advanced instructor and has been for over 10 years

He is the first of three staff supported by Hollander Consultants to leave for Louisiana. Emily McCuen, secretary to the CEO and Erika Sullivan, Director of Human Resources for Hollander Consultants will be leaving in the next week to assist relief efforts.
