PR9.NET August 23, 2005 - ATLANTA, MVA Scientific Consultants will offer its popular course "Fundamentals of Asbestos Analysis by Transmission Electron Microscopy" on October 11th-13th, 2005. Industrial Hygienists and other environmental lab personnel are encouraged to attend. Diplomates of The American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH®) can receive 3.0 Certification Maintenance (CM) Points for successfully completing the course.
Instructors for the course will be the Firm's James R. Millette, Ph.D., and Research Scientist Pronda Few, B.S. "There are over 30 recognized TEM methods for asbestos analysis from air to water to dust to building materials," says Dr. Jim Millette, "It is important that industrial hygienists have a broad understanding of how the asbestos numbers are produced by microscopy," Millette added.
