Indian Chimney Farm Announces Grand Opening Celebration
Indian Chimney Farm, an agri-tourism farm in Lansing, NY, announces their Grand Opening and is planning two days of events and activities for everyone in the family. PR9.NET September 14, 2004 - The Grand Opening will take place on October 9 and 10, 2004. The public is invited to visit the farm between 10am and 4pm to meet the alpaca, horses, goats, and other farm animals, shop for fine alpaca apparel and locally handcrafted gift items, learn about wool production, and much more. Owner Kimberley Grant states, "Our Grand Opening celebration has free admission and parking, and will feature hand-spinning demonstrations, an antique farm tools museum, and entertainment and activities for everyone. Adults will be delighted with the unique gift products in our country gift shop and the serenity of our beautiful and safe farm. Children will receive a free gift, and enjoy meeting our menagerie of friendly animals. We’re putting together a kiddie area in our barn, with activities such as face painting, roping, arts and crafts, and games." Indian Chimney Farm is a mixed-use farm, principally raising alpaca, horses and other livestock, and provides farm tours and a gift shop for families and tourists who wish to visit and learn about agriculture in the 21st century. Indian Chimney Farm will be open to the public on weekends from 10am to 4pm through Christmas. Indian Chimney Farm is located at 404 Conlon Rd, in Lansing, just 8 miles from downtown Ithaca, NY and 23 miles from Auburn, NY. To get there from Ithaca, take Rt. 34 North from Rt. 13, go 5 miles and turn left at the light, then immediately turn right onto Conlon Rd. The farm is 2 miles down on the left.
