Technological advances have ushered in the Golden Age for Wedding Video

PR9.NET August 30, 2007 - Lake Tahoe, Nevada – Technological advances have ushered in the Golden Age for Wedding Video. This according to Rod Lindgren, of Aragren Video Productions. Mr Lindgren recently returned from the WEVA Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, the largest convention for Wedding and Event videographers in the world.

Wedding Videographers can do so much more now than in the past. Technological advances such as the internet can be used to provide live webcasts of a wedding. What a great tool for couples with relatives scattered all over the globe.

"Our area (Reno/Lake Tahoe) is known for destination weddings. Couples who want the perfect setting for their celebration choose Tahoe," says Lindgren. "Not long ago, we had a bride and groom from the Philippines. Their friends and relative back home could tune into a website and watch the whole ceremony and reception, as if they were there, live."

This is a great option for people with loved ones who are unable to attend due to poor health or an inability to travel.

With the increases in the power and speed of notebook computers, Wedding Videographers such as Aragren Video Productions (AVP) can offer Same-Day-Edits. The happy couple and their guests can view the video of the celebration while enjoying the wedding cake at the reception. Some brides are even giving out copies of their Same-Day-Edit as gifts to their guests as they leave the reception.

Editing, formerly limited to linear solutions, has progressed to the point that a good Wedding Videography editor can produce creative video that rival anything you see on TV or in the movies. Indeed, many of the editing tools Wedding Videographers use are the exact same programs being used in broadcast TV and the movie industry.

Lindgren says that 7 years ago, about half of his Wedding Memory videos went out on VHS tape. "Now, we seldom hear VHS tape mentioned."

DVD is a much better medium. And it continues to improve. With the advent of Blue Ray and HD DVD, and the latest generation of HD cameras available to Professional Wedding Videographers, Wedding Videography is limited only by the videographers knowledge, creativity and imagination.
