Lynn Petronella Presents Michelle Obama and Angelina Jolie With World's Greatest Achievement Medals

The two women received gold,achievement medals that were presented by Lynn Petronella, director of The Athlettes Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting women and children in achieving their dreams. Petronella is also a former world class runner, and 1980 Olympic contender. "The most profound, athletic act a woman can do is give birth," explained Petronella. "This is my international tribute to mothering and womankind. My goal is to honor women who birth, raise, educate, and cope with the demands of motherhood with this innovative, gold medal." Michelle Obama is a mother of two, Jolie has six children. In addition to validating the miracle of motherhood with local and international recognition, Petronella is assisting American charities such as CHILDHELP. She is donating upwards of five percent of the proceeds to this organization which helps abused and neglected children. She hopes to empower one million women, and one million children over the course of the campaign. The ultimate goal for Lynn Petronella and The Athlettes Foundation is to strengthened families by providing acknowledgement, support, and opportunities which enhance their sense of belonging in the community. The project caught the attention of Hollywood in February. "It was very exciting to be able to present these gifts at the Pre-Oscar party with Jennifer Lopez and the nominees this year," said Petronella. "We were asked to be a part of the cause to help children in need. It was a great fit and message for everyone. Especially since many of the attendees are moms, or new mothers." Lynn Petronella says she is also helping men recognize the role of mothers.
