As a way to commemorate their 66th birthdays, today, life-long galpals Donna Streckenbach and Judy Laskowski embarked on a 2,132 mile journey down the famous Route 66. The galpals plan on reminiscing the past 66 years along the way with people they meet at the many diners along the famous route.

PR9.NET March 26, 2008 - GREEN BAY, WI - As a way to commemorate their 66th birthdays, today, life-long galpals Donna Streckenbach and Judy Laskowski embarked on a 2,132 mile journey down the famous Route 66. The galpals plan on reminiscing the past 66 years along the way with people they meet at the many diners along the famous route.

After raising four sons, working 45 years and self-employed for 30 years, Donna Streckenbach heard her calling as she turned 66. Take an adventure on Route 66. Inspired by books she has read and an avid fan of Oprah, she fully intends on documenting the trip to write her first book.

Judy Laskowski agreed to join Donna without hesitation. Judy has always been an adventurer and she has spent much of her life caring for others in the nursing environment. Judy is the mother of three daughters and grandmother to nine grandchildren.

Somewhat apprehensive as they discovered some of the roads are no longer on the mapping system, they find a new sense of adventure and another challenge in their life.

Their first stop will be Lou Mitchell's Restaurant in Chicago, Ill. to have lunch celebrating their send-off and the beginning of Route 66. They want the FREE milk duds given to all women customers!!!!!

Their road trip will end in Santa Monica, California
