Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software as a service provider to more than 1,000 hospitals in the United States, announced today that new custom task and batch processing features have been added to Simplifi 797, a web-based application that simplifies meeting all of the quality requirements of USP Chapter 797.

PR9.NET March 15, 2007 - Bellevue, WA - Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software as a service provider to more than 1,000 hospitals in the United States, announced today that new custom task and batch processing features have been added to Simplifi 797, a web-based application that simplifies meeting all of the quality requirements of USP Chapter 797.

Although Simplifi 797 comes preloaded with tasks related to quality compliance with USP Chapter 797, customers requested the capability to add customized tasks. In response to these customer requests, Simplifi 797 now allows administrators to create customized tasks and schedule them with any frequency. And, just like the standard tasks that come with Simplifi 797, e-mails for overdue tasks can be sent to the appropriate group of individuals ensuring that tasks are completed.

"I was quite pleased that Pharmacy OneSource acted upon my comments regarding the need to develop a custom tasks feature for Simplifi 797," said Ray Lake, Director of Diversified Pharmacy Services for Medstar Health. "This feature truly makes this product useful in terms of enabling paperless logging of USP 797 related activities for our multi-hospital system."

Another new customer-requested enhancement allows Simplifi 797 administrators to set up drug templates for batches routinely made at their facility. Once completed and saved, the template for a specific drug automatically fills in many fields. Technicians can now easily document batches they create to keep an ongoing log of all preparations made in the cleanroom.

"The web platform allows us to much more rapidly improve our applications in response to customer requests when compared to the slow response time of installed software upgrades."

Simplifi 797 is a web-based application that automates, integrates and streamlines the quality activities and documentation required to meet USP Chapter 797. Simplifi 797 manages task scheduling and monitoring and automates the reporting of exceptions and compliance.

In addition, practice-based policies and procedures are integrated into the application to simplify compliance, with content and expert rules provided and maintained by Eric S. Kastango, RPh, MBA, FASHP.
