2007 Hands of Health Award Nomination Deadline is September 7
The John Rex Endowment will continue to accept nominations for the 2007 Hands of Health Award until the end of business on September 7. PR9.NET September 05, 2007 - RALEIGH, N.C. - The John Rex Endowment will continue to accept nominations for its annual award program, Hands of Health, until the end of business on September 7. The award recognizes those who are leading the way in enhancing the health of children and youth in Wake County. "This is a chance for us to say 'Thank you' for the dedication these individuals show each day," says Kevin Cain, president and CEO of the John Rex Endowment. "We are hopeful that we will continue receiving nominations right up to the deadline." The winner of the Hands of Health award will be honored with a specially commissioned bronze sculpture. In addition, the John Rex Endowment will donate $10,000 to the winner's charity of choice. Now in its fourth year, the award presentation will be held at an invitation-only event on October 23 at the Exploris Museum in Raleigh. Past winners of the award include Peter Morris, MD, Don Rosenblitt, MD, Mark Piehl, MD and Yo Soba. On their behalf, the Endowment has made donations to the North Carolina Pediatric Society Foundation, the Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood, the Durham Rescue Mission/Good Samaritan Inn, Camp Challenge Diabetes Camp at Camp Oak Hill and Camp Grace at A.E.
