Cardiff based manufacturing company, Ultrawave Ltd, have just launched a new HTM2030 compliant validated benchtop ultrasonic cleaner for use in the dental sector.

The unit has undergone a complete revamp and is now housed in a wipe clean plastic outer shell with the digital user interface built into the lid. The unit benefits from a huge range of features including fluid level sensor, locking lid and a fully programmable user interface.

The user interface can be programmed with details of the surgery and all the users meaning after each cycle is run the validation printout will include these details along with whether each stage of the clean was carried out successfully. This information also includes the water temperature, cycle time and what time it was run making all the vital aspect of the cycle easily traceable.

This is of crucial importance with the stringent legislations that are now in place regarding reusable instrument decontamination. Ultrawave are the only company on the market to offer in-built validation as standard on their units and with the new design these units are perfectly suited to the modern surgery environment.

We have also developed a new method of dosing for these units. The detergent required comes in sachets which contain the exact amount of detergent to make the optimum cleaning solution. These sachets dissolve in water making the dosing procedure fast, efficient and easy.
