The Band is currently touring in the Southeast in support of the release of their first full-length album, entitled Awakening, and is steadily building a growing fan base throughout the Southern US. PR9.NET April 29, 2008 - USA/Tallahassee, FL - Pixel recording artist, the Sarah Mac Band, continues to build a national reputation by having a song from their latest CD, entitled Awakening, selected to be featured on the CD sampler included with the May issue of Paste Magazine. The song, Open Fire, in addition to being on the Paste sampler also received favorable reviews by a number of publications when it was released as a single in January of this year.
The bluesy, sultry-vocal-driven, alternative rock band, which Paste Magazine has described as 'eclectic and ultra-catchy', has been receiving a fair amount of attention as it begins touring the Southeast in support of the new CD. The Sarah Mac Band also received favorable judging on the popular fan website OurStage.com, where the band recently finished second place in a contest to play at Bonnaroo, a large Tennessee music festival, this June.
