WCPE Releases Announcer Favorites CD October 3
A Classical Bouquet offers two hours of re-mastered works from the world's greatest composers, conductors and musicians.
PR9.NET October 03, 2007 - WAKE FOREST, N.C. – General Manager Deborah S. Proctor of WCPE, TheClassicalStation.Org, announces today the release of the station's first two-CD set of announcer favorites. A Classical Bouquet offers two hours of re-mastered works from the world's greatest composers, conductors and musicians.
Over a year in the making, the CD set features works from historic composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, as well as modern composers such as Ronald Binge, Healey Willan and Vaughan Williams.
"More than another compilation CD, A Classical Bouquet is a celebration of the diversity in great classical music," says Bob Morrow, communications director of the Philharmonic Association. "In addition, the announcer descriptions, contained in the cover liner, bring texture and focus to the human experience expressed by the artists."
As part of the debut, on Sunday October 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. ET, WCPE's show Preview! will offer excerpts from the CDs. Host Paul Jordan will introduce the selected works with his usual insight and enthusiasm for the inspirational power of beautiful music.
