Advantis Franchisees Reap Rewards in 2009 from Robust Performance
AdVantis Hospitality Alliance, announces an overview performance report for its hotels in 2009. Same hotel comparisons across brands showed an increase in reservations revenue of 30% over 2008. PR9.NET January 28, 2010 - Murfreesboro, TN - AdVantis Hospitality Alliance, franchisor of VISTA® Inns and SELECT Inns®, located here announces another banner year of performance for its hotels. "The systems and processes that we put in place in 2008 have served our hotels well in an economy that has been difficult to navigate this year" says Kelly J. Harvel, CHA – Executive Vice President. Same hotel comparisons across both brands showed an increase in reservations revenue of 30% over 2008. Reservations and room nights were up 40.6% and 35.6% respectively. Within the VISTA brand, hotels saw increases in reservations revenue of 67.6% for 2009. Reservations and room nights were up 57% and 58% respectively. Within the SELECT Inn brand hotels saw increases in reservations revenue of 14.6%. Reservations and room nights were up 33.7% and 24.8% respectively. "Obviously, we experienced some rate deterioration this year. Across both brands we saw a decrease of 4%" says Harvel, "As guests are looking for deals on hotel rooms, it's crucial to be tuned into areas where consumers are booking rooms. Various discounts sites generated increased volume to our hotels, but with deeper discounts than we have seen in previous years. Through the combination of AdVantis' proactive CRS, unique hotel centered marketing strategy, and responsive social media efforts, Vista and Select Inn hotels experienced great results. What's more apparent is hotels embracing a strong local & social community relationship, with various room generators, experienced more positive revenue impact than those using traditional methodologies. "We continue to provide hotel specific strategies to our licensees and consistently encourage the participation of every hotel in the fast changing new world of electronic media" AdVantis also enjoyed a banner 2009 year in company growth. The year started with 893 rooms in the AdVantis portfolio. With the addition of the Select Inn brand and new hotel conversion additions, by the end of the year the company more than doubled its portfolio and boasted a total of 1922 guest rooms. "Franchisees in the mid and economy tiers of the hotel industry are, as they should, challenging the cost benefit ratio of their brand affiliation and AdVantis stacks up really well against all its competitors" said Ramesh Gokal, AdVantis President & COO. "In the 21st, century, pervasive and persistent virtual presence is more important than the historical reliance on bricks and mortar in the market place" he added. Along with the heightened interest in AdVantis brands from hotel operators, the company also received growth benefit from its unique interim institutional franchise arrangements for lender institutions that find themselves owning hotels due to foreclosures in the current economic climate. # # #
