Voicey Awards Given Out Today Via VOX Talk Podcast
Ears will be tuned in to the VOX Talk Podcast this evening to discover who the winners are of the 2007 Voicey Awards at Voices.com. PR9.NET February 21, 2007 - Toronto, Canada – Tonight is the night! A technological first, the Voicey Awards, an award show honoring career voice over talent for their skill, talent and contribution to the voice industry, will be aired via podcast, hitting the RSS at 6 p.m. EST February 21st, 2007. The Voicey Awards this year honor voice talent and voice actors in five prestigious categories including Best New Voice, Best Personal Branding, Lifetime Achievement, Best Female Voice and Best Male Voice of the Year. The host of the 2007 Voicey Awards is Stephanie Ciccarelli, co-founder of Voices.com, the voice marketplace. The podcast program is produced just like a live awards show including rousing theme and category specific music, sound effects, finalist introductions in each category, commentary, and acknowledgments. The winner in each category will also be honored with an audio tribute, playing one of their voice over demos after their name is announced as the Voicey Award winner. Finalists in the category of Best New Voice include John Small, Kara Edwards, Anne Swist, Caryn Clark, and Dana Detrick. Finalists in the category of Best Personal Branding include Jay Buck, Bruce Barker, Johnny George, Julie Williams, and Caryn Clark. Finalists in the category of Lifetime Achievement include Barbara Ann Davison, Gordon Gibb, Ken Jackson, Derek Partridge, and Bettye Zoller, collectively contributing over 180 years to the voice industry. Finalists in the category of Best Female Voice include Deborah Cardarella, Patty Mattson, Kim Somers, Rachel Robinson, and Barbara Ann Davison. Last but not least, finalists in the category of Best Male Voice include Adam Behr, Bryan Cox, Chris Fries, Ari Ross, and Brian Haymond. Voices.com co-founder, Stephanie Ciccarelli says, "The Voicey Awards are a dream come true for our company and the voice industry. There are so many talented people who work in voice overs that it only seems right to honor them. Tonight is just the beginning."
