State Park Service Offers One-Day Window for Campsite Reservations
South Carolina's state parks now offer a one-day window for campsite reservations to accommodate last minute plans. PR9.NET December 07, 2006 - COLUMBIA, SC – The convenience of one-day windows for campsite reservations in South Carolina's state parks is now available online. The more than 3,000 South Carolina campsites managed from the mountains to the sea by the South Carolina State Park Service can be reserved by visiting www.SouthCarolinaParks.com or by calling 1-866-345-PARK (7275). The one-day window for using the South Carolina Park Service's central reservation system has been shortened from three days to better accommodate campers who want to make last-minute plans for their South Carolina state park visit, for reasons such as weather. The more than 230 cabins and villas at the South Carolina parks still require a three-day window from the time of the reservation to the time of check-in. The three-day window also applies to reservation of the parks' day-use facilities. Visitors who want to make last-minute reservations for campsites, cabins or villas can still call the individual South Carolina Park. The Park Service Web site at www.SouthCarolinaParks.com provides detailed information about each of the 46 South Carolina state parks, and specific campsites and cabins can be reserved, depending on availability. The same information also is available at the toll-free number and at the individual South Carolina parks. South Carolina's state parks now offer a one-day window for campsite reservations to accommodate last minute plans. # # #
