Search Engine For Kids Goes Online
Kids 4 Kids Community is open and growing. Come take a look at one of the most unique websites for kids on the net! PR9.NET July 27, 2005 - Millions of children have no specific starting point on the internet and yet with all this technology parents still have to continually monitor their child's web travels, their email and their contacts. If a company were to build a "starting point" who would use it? Children and the world's schools of course and what would be its purpose? To be a "safe haven" for young people to learn through and learn from. When should a website like this go online? Well, yesterday would be good, then again today is much better. How can we make this happen? It has. A company called Cornerstone Marketing Group has opened a website called "Kids 4 Kids Community" http://www.kids4kids.biz it's a search engine for kids, by kids with tools, information and research to help kids start their own business. It is a "starting point" of universal magnitude with many features not found on the internet for kids to avail their energy upon. Here are just a few of their main offerings: • Kids can get their own online store. (With teacher and parent permission, of course) • Kids can become editors of the search engine itself. (List sites they like) • Schools can get their own custom landing page • A complete business center with tools to help run your business • Advertising space per subject and/or location • Kids can become board members or editors of the site (The board must be made up of a majority of kids under 18) • The site is the first of its kind to incorporate the kids into the administration of the site so that they can learn first hand. To truly know the site, you must visit it for yourself. It is a directory based search engine where the visitor can search by way of chosen words. These words are specific to school subjects, business and learning and can quickly further a student's research based on school curriculum. If your vision of a safe internet includes the world's children, you are not alone. A site like this must be available to schools and students as a starting point to better and more decent information and it should be controlled by the students it targets to remain viable. We as parents have two choices, support sites like these or plan on always looking over your kids shoulder at what the internet is showing them now! The site is in the initial stages of opening and growing and is looking for partnerships and partners. "Partnerships" range from scholastic support to advertising. "Partners" is slightly different, while the site is almost ready for launch it does need more programming to enlarge its subject base. A partnership includes upwards of 49% of the mother company, including 2 other top sites and numerous other domains ready to develop. Revenue is to be put towards working capital, mostly in marketing. Now if history has told us anything it is that a search engine that has a market has value.
