Mi-Co Signs Alliance with Portable Computer Systems

Today Mi-Co, the mobile data capture software company, announced the signing of an alliance with Portable Computer Systems (PCS). PCS provides leading edge rugged hardware and wireless mobile hardware solutions for harsh outdoor applications.

"This is an alliance of two organizations that can bring complete mobile data capture hardware and software solutions to individuals collecting data in extreme environmental conditions," said Jim Clary, CEO of Mi-Co, "and both companies have extensive experience in meeting the needs of the U.S military as well as other federal agencies."

PCS focuses on selling and implementing leading rugged/wireless products including the Ruggedized Itronix GoBook Notebooks and Tablet PCs. These GoBooks are designed to withstand rain, snow, dust, blowing sand, extreme heat, freezing rain, multiple drops, vibration and most importantly, operate when customers need them the most.

The Mi-Forms Software System is an ideal match for PCS due to the flexibility of the Mi-Co technology. Mi-Forms is currently implemented in a number of federal agencies including the U.S Department of Agriculture and the U.S Air Force.

PCS' experience with the federal government includes providing Itronix GoBook Notebooks and supporting the 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Division, 3rd Brigade, the Army Chief of Staff and the U.S Navy through several multi-million dollar contracts.
