Many HIVers are reluctant to date or communicate openly about their status with others that are not HIV positive due to issues such as rejection and being labeled as sexually promiscuous. PozCity's goal is to provide an environment that would allow HIVers to communicate in a manner that is comfortable allowing them to express ideas and share information with others that can relate to their current situation.

PozCity is not just another dating site. It was created as a total social networking environment that would not only address the issue of dating but also address the need for sharing more information and providing support for those newly infected.

PozCity will provide a virtual environment that will allow an anonymous and comfortable atmosphere allowing those affected with HIV to ask questions, express their fears and receive credible reassuring information regarding their condition. PozCity is managed on computer hardware and software from private funding and is open to receiving sponsorships.
