Mr. Birney served as Regional Manager of Consulting Services for The Signature Group in Vienna VA, a Cisco Systems Premier Professional Services partner. Additionally, he served as WAN Manager for Equant Integration Services and Ameritech Small Business services. His experience includes the design, installation and of global ATM, Frame Relay and voice networks.

His certifications from Cisco include Cisco Certified Network/Design Associate, Cisco Certified Design Professional, Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert-WR, Cisco Small Business Networking Essentials, Cisco Enterprise Networking Essentials, Cisco AVVID (Architecture of Voice Video Integrated Data), and Cisco Wireless Technologies as well as numerous other industry certifications.
