AppLabs today announced that its India center has been chosen by Novell to be a lead Novell Authorized Testing Center (NATC) for providing SUSE Linux and Novell NetWare YES certification testing in India

PR9.NET March 22, 2007 - Mumbai, Philadelphia, London - AppLabs, the world's largest independent software testing company, today announced that its India center has been chosen by Novell to be a lead Novell Authorized Testing Center (NATC) for providing SUSE Linux and Novell NetWare YES certification testing in India.

Being in a varied IT environment era, along with a rapid expansion in the SUSE Linux market, this relationship between Novell and AppLabs provides exceptional access to all hardware and software vendors in India who desire to get their products certified for compatibility with Novell products.

Commenting on this relationship, Dipto Chakravarty, Vice President of Engineering for Novell, highlighted that, "Given the depth of AppLabs' knowledge of Novell products and success achieved to date we expect to extend the NATC initiative with them to enable Novell's indirect routes to market for SUSE Linux as well as Sentinel, Identity Manager, and Access Manager products. We are working with AppLabs on several other initiatives, including hands-on training, to support our partners globally."

Why this NATC?

So what does this news mean to the end user, and when can vendors start getting products tested and certified? Answering this question, an AppLabs spokesperson highlighted that a Novell Authorized Testing Center (NATC) is a testing facility run by independent companies who have been trained and authorized by Novell to perform YES CERTIFIED testing. There are several reasons why it is beneficial to vendors:

ISV-s and IHV-s can get their products tested and certified in a matter of days for compatibility with the growing SUSE Linux deployments at affordable prices

Easy access to Applab's global engineering centers in Hyderabad, India and Lindon, Utah, USA.

Vendors can leverage AppLabs' rich experience with Novell products to get problem resolutions accomplished quickly and efficiently. AppLabs will formally roll out this solution center offering to all the Asia Pacific vendors, who can begin utilizing this benefit within a few weeks.
