Olga Smirnov of the Boston Public Health Commission Named Mi-Co Health Care User of the Year

Mi-Co, the mobile data capture company, at its recent Mi-Co User Day presented the Health Care User of the Year Award to Olga Smirnov of the Boston Public Health Commission. Ms. Smirnov was recognized for her outstanding work in the development and implementation of Mi-Forms for data capture for the Commission's Healthy Baby, Healthy Child Program.

The data capture project for the Healthy Baby program under the direction of Claritza Abreu, Director of Information Systems Services with the Commission, has resulted in more rapid data processing, increased quality and cost reductions in the capture and use of the data.
Since the 1980s, the Healthy Baby program has sent nurses, social workers and client advocates into homes to visit families, proactively serving the community's 600,000 citizens. The organization's mission is to promote the well being of families by offering health education and case management.
