Informational seminar to focus on loans for home buyers and investors

PR9.NET September 11, 2006 - USA/SPRINGFIELD, MASS - The Mortgage SuperCenter, Inc. announced today that it will host a free home buying seminar on Saturday, September 23, 2006 from 10:00am to noon. The seminar will be held at the company's office at 75 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, Massachusetts in the IRM Insurance building.

"We are pleased to be offering this educational opportunity for home buyers and investors to provide the people of Greater Springfield with worthwhile information on how to buy their first home or investment property," said Anthony Thomas, manager of the office. "Homeownership is a wonderful investment for families and communities."

"Education is the key to the home-buyer process and we look forward to helping families and investors learn the basics of purchasing a property," said Cynthia Driscoll Downs, a senior mortgage consultant with The Mortgage SuperCenter. "Consumers will learn about choosing a real estate agent, why credit issues are important, and loan types and financing options."

Rick Fraser, a company mortgage consultant, stated, "We are committed to presenting consumers with more information about purchasing real estate."

The Mortgage SuperCenter will serve refreshments and will be giving certificates for a discount off closing costs to seminar attendees.

Anthony Thomas has more than 25 years of experience in finance, real estate and management. In addition to his duties with The Mortgage SuperCenter, he teaches initial and continuing education courses for real estate brokers and salespeople. Mr. Thomas is lead instructor for the Division of Continuing Education in the real estate school at Holyoke Community College and as an instructor with the Lee Institute.

Cynthia Driscoll Downs has 20 years of experience in real estate, appraising and mortgage finance in Greater Springfield. Her knowledge of the local real estate market and her understanding of sophisticated mortgage finance strategies offer a significant benefit to consumers and realtors in developing strategies for home buyers and investors.
