Leon Verres Luxury Group teams up with BillionaireXchange.com
Le Billionaire Champagne meets BillionaireXchange
PR9.NET May 01, 2009 - People all over the world may be switching from champagne to cheaper bubblies but the rare vintages still have their price. On May 1st, 2009 that price will go to the highest bidder over "Le Billionaire Champagne" which is being hailed as the most expensive champagne available right now. The original Le Billionaire Champagne was made by Leon Verres and was limited to an exclusive count of 5 bottles sold at 2.75 million dollars. The Salmanazar champagne bottle contains nine liters and is dressed in fur and diamonds.
Now on May 1st, 2009 miniature versions will be sold at the online auction website www.billionairexchange.com starting bid at $1,000. The Leon Verres Luxury Group is very excited about the cooperation with BillionaireXchange. Both companies have the same target market group. Executive Board Member, Alexander Shapiro says, "the BillionaireXchange is an innovative and exclusive online venue for luxury goods and "Le Billionaire Champagne" the most expensive and luxurious Champagne of all time. It is an obvious combination that works well together."
Billionaires from Russia, China and Dubai have purchased four of the 5 original "Le Billionaire Champagne" bottles, with the fifth bottle being auctioned off for charity after its "World Tour".
Merrall & Condit's first Hong Kong auction of 2009, which sold a 1928 Krug, set a new world record for the most expensive bottle of Champagne sold at auction. Decanter reports that the 75cl bottle from the Krug Collection, went for $164,560, which was far above the highest estimate they expected to receive for the rare bottle of bubbly.
