PR9.NET September 11, 2007 - Singapore - Business owners are angry at bankers for being evasive about the reasons of their loan rejection. They claimed that bankers promised them the sky when they were being courted but did a disappearing act once the loan was rejected. According to Founder Joyce TM Leong, anger and suspicion toward bankers runs deep, particularly among small business owners.

"I was surprised by the level of anger expressed by these business owners. Business owners are far more frustrated about this issue than most people would imagine. All they want is an honest assessment of their chances," she said. Complaints about unethical bank salespeople are aplenty from disappearing acts, deflating interest rates and misrepresentation of fees and charges. Business owner Mr Sew, 45, said: "I spend so much time talking to my banker and preparing the documents for the loan application. I had promised my supplier that the funds will be coming in and now I was told that my loan is rejected! He did not tell me why my loan was being rejected. Now I have to look for funds to pay my supplier." Business owners call for bankers to simplify the current loan process and to make it more transparent to them. They want bankers to manage their expectations so that they are prepared for the outcome.

Today, business owners can visit for a free assessment of their business finances. "I noticed that there were few avenues where business owners could ask questions about their businesses. was initally set up to provide business financing assistance to business owners. Now business owners can write in with their questions on a variety of topics such as branding, marketing, customer retention management etc," she explained. This free helpdesk guarantees that all questions will be replied within 24 hours. "I wanted to find out whether my company qualified for a business loan. With Joyce's help, getting a bank loan became a reality."
