Helms Mulliss & Wicker LLP (HMW) announced today that it was ranked among the top 10 bond counsels dealing with competitive issues according to The Bond Buyer, the leading publication covering the bond industry.

The Bond Buyer rankings, which are based on information from Thomson Financial Securities Data, examine the total amount of completed competitive bond issues for which firms served as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, or disclosure counsel. Through the first half of 2007, Helms Mulliss & Wicker has completed $1.04 billion worth of competitive offering settlements, the seventh-highest in the nation.

Quarterly, The Bond Buyer ranks bond counsels in four categories: overall, competitive, full credit and negotiated. Since 2003, Helms Mulliss Wicker has consistently ranked in the top five bond counsels for North Carolina, top 10 for the Southeast region and top 10 in the nation.
