Buying garden chairs in the autumn and winter months could be the best way to grab a bargain and save on cost price, according to consumer website BuyChairs.org.

After conducting research into the habits of garden chair retailers, it was concluded that the best time to buy garden furniture was from mid-October through to February, as a result of the lower average selling price of furniture during these months.

Alistair Colebrook of BuyChairs.org ( http://www.buychairs.org ) urged consumer buyers to opt for the off-season in order to realise the greatest cost savings on their garden chairs.

"When it comes to buying garden chairs, and all kinds of garden furniture for that matter, the best time to be in the market is late autumn to winter. When the bulk of the population aren't interested in thinking about seating arrangements for the warmer months, retailers are forced to cut their prices to try and shift stock. This is the time you want to be on the lookout for your replacement furniture, to take advantage of these savings."

Garden chair pricing, conversely, tends to increase between the months of June-August, during which time there is high consumer demand fuelling the price growth.
